Project Description:

Join Eagle River Watershed CouncilMountain RecreationTown of EagleEagle County Open Space, and CSU-Extension for an evening of weeding on June 28 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. We are seeking volunteers to help restore the area near the Pool and Ice Rink BMX pump track in Eagle by pulling weeds and seeding native grasses and wildflowers.

This is the first of five events put on by Mountain Recreation and partnered local organizations.

Pulling weeds and planting drought tolerant native plants will help visually improve the area and provide habitat for animals. Come join us in learning about common weeds and native plants while working to improve our local ecosystem!

June 28 is also Bike to Work Day, so volunteers are encouraged to pedal over if they can.

How to volunteer:

Please register using the link below by June 28. Kids are welcome to join! You will be asked to complete a waiver at time of registration. We will be meeting by the BMX track. Parking is available onsite. Details (where to meet, other day-of logistics, etc.) will be sent to the email address you provide.

What to bring:

  • Work gloves – if you have a pair you like please bring them, there will be work gloves available if you need a pair.
