The 31st Annual Eagle River Cleanup will take place September 6, 2025. Every year, hundreds of dedicated volunteers tackle the public banks of the Eagle River in teams. We rely on each team leader to serve as the point-person for each section of river. Among others, the roles of team leaders include recruiting volunteers for your team, sharing information (meeting time and place, waiver links, safety guidelines, etc.) with your team, and picking up safety vests and trash bags for your team. We’re always looking for event sponsors for the cleanup and our mission-driven programs and events. If you’d like to support the work of the Eagle River Coalition, please reach out to development@eagleriverco.org.

Thank you for your interest in keeping the waters of Eagle County clean for our wildlife, residents, and visitors.
In July, existing/past team leaders can expect an email from cleanup@eagleriverco.org requesting you to respond to confirm your participation as a team leader. Following your confirmation, we will solidify your team’s designated clean-up section. It is imperative that you refrain from cleaning private areas of riverbank.
If you are unable to volunteer as a team leader this year, you may find your own replacement team leader or please let us know that you are unable, and we will open your section.
Please note: some teams have participated in the cleanups for years, and they get first right of refusal for their section. As such, if we do not receive your confirmation by August 1, your section may be opened to allow for other teams to participate. Thank you for understanding.

We are still accepting sponsors for this year’s cleanup. By supporting the cleanup as a sponsor, you help keep local landscapes and the wildlife and communities that depend upon them clean, safe, and healthy.
