The Eagle River Coalition is pleased to announce the expansion of its staff to include Josh Rumble as its new watershed restoration director. “Josh brings a wealth of knowledge about our watershed and local community and will play a huge role in advancing our mission. We are absolutely thrilled he has joined our team,” expressed Vicki Flynn, the Eagle River Coalition’s executive director.

Josh will be spearheading efforts to implement the Eagle River Community Water Plan. He is looking forward to dedicating his time to the preservation of our precious local resources, and forging a legacy of restoration and conservation of the Eagle River for Eagle County.

Josh grew up in the scenic Black Hills of South Dakota, where he developed a deep connection to nature from an early age. After earning a Biology degree, he moved to Eagle County in 2007 and dedicated nearly 20 years to public science education. He spent the summers exploring the Eagle River Watershed, teaching classes on native plants and fly fishing, and helping to manage the 7-acres of the Vail Nature Center. Outside of work, Josh’s love for the outdoors shines through his hobbies, including fly-fishing, rafting, hiking, and exploring botany and ecology.

Welcome, Josh!
