The Eagle River Coalition is pleased to announce David Geddes as its new community engagement manager. “David is extremely passionate about education and protecting our natural resources. We are excited to see him thrive in this role and bring his wealth of experience to our programs and our community,” expressed Vicki Flynn, executive director of the Eagle River Coalition.

Geddes will be continuing the efforts of outgoing community engagement manager Rose Sandell in implementing and streamlining watershed education programs throughout the Eagle River Valley. He looks forward to applying his skills in education and communication to support the Eagle Valley community in accessing and protecting their natural resources.

Originally from Massachusetts, Geddes has found great satisfaction in helping others experience, appreciate and understand their natural resources. After studying natural resources conservation at UMass Amherst, he worked as an environmental educator for non-profits and agencies across the country. He moved to Eagle County in 2023 as a Foley Graduate Fellow in environmental education at Walking Mountains. While guiding students from across the valley on school field trips and summer camp programs, he fell in love with the natural and recreational values of the area. In his spare time, David enjoys biking, skiing and backpacking.

The Eagle River Coalition protects rivers in the Eagle River Watershed. Through education, monitoring, restoration and advocacy, we elevate both the quality and the supply of our community’s most essential resource: water.
